Independent Writers of Chicago
This November, IWOC is proudly hosting founder and President of Marich Media Joe Marich, who will be discussing how to use literary marketing and media relations effectively to promote your book.
With Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, ER) and Australia's best selling author David Rollins (The Death Trust) being among the impressive list of authors Mr. Marich has represented, Mr. Marich's advice is backed with a proven, extensive record of successful promotional techniques. He will be covering what you can do on your own to promote your book and provide a list of 10 questions to ask before -- or after -- you start writing it.
This is a program not to be missed for anyone who seeks to learn more about book (or virtually any creative endeavor) promotion, whether yours is finished, in the works, or in your future plans to write.
IWOC Members attend free and do NOT need to register. Non-members pay $10 with online registration or $15 at the door.
Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.
Non-members are eligible for a 10% discount on their first year of IWOC membership with a coupon code available at the meeting.
IWOC monthly meetings are held in Room 4F at the Gratz Center, 126 E. Chestnut Street, adjacent to the historic Fourth Presbyterian Church (see map, below).
Discounted parking after 5:00pm is available (with validation coupon available at the meeting) at 900 N. Michigan Avenue.
