Social Media Hands-on Workshop

Experience hands-on training in social media. Bring a laptop (or netbook or iPad or whatever you use to access the Internet away from home), and get one-on-one coaching in how to use tools like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter more productively.

IWOC members who use social media regularly will demonstrate where to find the good stuff, how to avoid the bad stuff, and how to manage your online time efficiently.

The session will be lead by Jennifer Rapp Peterson, founder/co-owner of IndieMade web hosting service. Coaches include IWOC-ers Brent Brotine and Sally Chapralis (LinkedIn), Veronica Hinke (Facebook), and Adam Smit (Twitter).

Real-world networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is free for IWOC members. Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration or $15 at the door. And admission is free for first-time visitors with online preregistration.

All attendees are welcome to join IWOC members for a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant after the meeting.
