IWOC Meeting
Building Your Author Platform
Few things will do more to develop your reputation as an accomplished writer (your brand) than producing a book. But once you’ve written that book, how do you make it the centerpiece of your marketing program?
Answer: You build an author platform.
Join us as Michael McCallister, co-author of Build Your Author Platform: A Literary Agent’s Guide to Growing Your Audience in 14 Steps, shows how to cast the widest net possible in search of your audience—including how to write and circulate articles both for online and offline markets as well as other techniques, such as teaching mini-courses and webinars, public appearances, informational interviews, expert backgrounders, and other wonderful ways to connect.
Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting is free for IWOC members. Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration/payment or $15 at the door.
All attendees are welcome to join us for a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant after the meeting.
